Noise, openness, and animation define marketplaces across the globe. This architecture does not provide a clean slate for program; rather, it uses structural noise and loudness to animate a space with multiple opportunities for trade, selling, bartering, performance, busking and entertainment. Life on the market streets of the city of Kariakoo, Dar Es Salaam continue in this open structure intended to replace an existing performance centre.
